A Sydneysider has become $20 million richer overnight, while a group of 20 in a Melbourne syndicate each became millionaires in a huge Powerball draw.
There were two division one winning entries in Powerball draw 1433, which was drawn on Thursday night.

Each division one winning entry scored $20 million.
A mystery southern Sydney player holds one of the two winning entries.
However, because the entry was unregistered, officials have no way to contact the ticketholder to confirm the huge prize.
Officials are urging players in the draw to check their tickets as soon as possible.
The Lott spokesperson Matt Hart said someone’s life had just changed forever, but they might not have realised it yet.
“Imagine going to bed tonight not knowing you’ve just won $20 million? That’s the reality for one NSW player after scoring a slice of the division one prize in tonight’s Powerball draw,” he said.

“All we know is that this ticket was purchased at One Stop Shop in Kirrawee, in southern Sydney.
“As the ticket is not registered to a player card or online account, we are unable to make a mind-blowing phone call to them this evening.”
Twenty new millionaires
Meanwhile, 20 Victorians have each scored $1 million from the Powerball draw.
The group syndicate’s PowerHit entry also won multiple divisional prizes, bolstering the group’s total winnings to $20,449,469.40.
Each syndicate member took home $1,022,473.47.
However, some members of the syndicate are also yet to realise the have won, with officials again urging players to check their tickets as soon as possible.
The syndicate was arranged by Vic Market Lotto, on Melbourne’s Therry St, with shares also sold at nine other Tatts outlets across the city:

Hart said some syndicate members held unregistered entries and might be yet to discover their win.
“While members of this winning group might not know each other, they are now united by the fact that tonight they each became a Powerball millionaire,” he said.
“Some of these division one winning syndicate members have already begun celebrating their good fortune knowing their bank account is about to be boosted with more than $1 million.
“While we’ll be reaching out to those winners who are registered, there are still some unregistered syndicate members who may have yet to discover their good news.”
The winning numbers in Powerball draw 1433 on Thursday November 2, 2023 were 23, 30, 11, 8, 12, 22 and 6.
